Eyes so wide gaze from under
disheveled hair to
pierce the world
and drink in its forms.
What lies behind those eyes
so dark, almost pitch?
Some secret Law or Edict
that hides you behind your
unblinking mask?
"Light"
Your hand to judge the others
is careful to avoid
your form.
Spill forth from open arms
a wave of pale justice.
Yet all is not wasted,
your drops rain, flooding
this world in example.
Your high pedestal will
be a short fall
when the legs have been
cut down so far. | |
