My Heart
You beat fast, and then slow.
You speak of truths and then lies.
You give reasons I could not analyze.
And you break most of the time.
When feelings arouse, I put you in my little box of work and vanities.
A box with sides of my desires,
And then slowly, I cover the box with hatred,
Until, I could hear you no more.
And I survived.
All those years,
When I feel something I immerse you with work.
Until, the only thing that makes you beat is work.
When you are a flame,
I drown you with tears until the flame is gone.
Dreams and wishing stars don’t exist in you;
I’ve taught you to be cynical always and to be in touch with reality.
And thus, you have become numb;
It slowly turned you cold and dumb.
You became bitter and you always think before beating.
I thought you’ll be happy alone,
But now I think you’re getting tired, really tired.
Now all I wish is for you to love and be loved.
